I have read reviews that say that 299 is too much for a soft case. I agree. But this ain’t just a soft case. It has rigidity and offers decent crush protection. It also has an interior that’s more like what you’d find in a hard shell case. It’s got high end plush padding that’s contoured to the lines of the Matriarch, and offers extra protection for areas with things like toggle switches. The zipper is a little tight, but that’s because it creates a water resistant seal. I have zero regrets about plunking down the extra bucks for this. Love it. And I think it’s a better investment than an “extra protection plan”.
