I'd like the product a lot more if I was able to disable the Google Assistant knowing that Google wasn't recording everything I was saying would be a lot nicer. While I am able to disconnect internet connection to the TV to keep Google from listening to everything I have to say, But by doing that I lose many of the properties that I paid for. Since I am clearly the product and not the customer (Google collecting private information and selling it to advertisers) with this item the price should be a fraction of what it isGot this yesterday, excited to try out Android TV. Plugged it in, worked fine. Took an update to latest Android, worked fine. Started to connect antenna, got distracted, 30 min later the screen wouldn't light up even though power LED was on and responding to remote. TCL support said just return it.Everything seems to be working fine and it is a really great TV at a low price. But I have one main concern... There are these black marks on the upper right and left sides of the television. It came like that and I didn't notice it until I saw it against a white background. I've tried playing around with it in the settings and seeing if that would fix it but it did not work. I thought it might have been a screen-burnin but when I'm watching 4K videos, I don't see them though. Hopefully it is a software issue and will be fixed in future updates. Overall, it is very good tv and flexible; it is almost like a big ipad or computer.TV is good but I wouldnt get it. The box came absolutely destroyed and came with no legs. I got a $20 stand from walmart and it doesnt fit properly so now I'm just S.O.L. THANKS!i was ready to send it back as defective. but i chanced upon a verizon employee who knew their products and how to connect a smart tv to the internet. without her i do not think i could have connected the tv to the internet. having done so i find it is awesome. and im very glad i ordered it. i talked to other people at verizon, i talked to people at tlc (adroiod tv), i talked to people at centurylink, none of them had a clue how to connect a smart tv to the internet. and none of them knew it. it was unbelievable.Good picture and easy to navigate. It doesn't try to reinvent the wheel, it does its job well. Great for gaming, many settings to adjust for picture quality. Audio is what'd you expect, hollow and dull so get a soundbar or an audio system.My biggest complaint is the bright light it emits when its off. When its time to sleep that light is bright enough that it can be annoying. Put electrical tape over it or something that dims the light but doesn't block the remote signal. UPDATE: You can turn off the LED light in the system settings.The remote could be much better, but these days you can swap that out.Got this as a test platform for applications.(Along side Phones, Tablets, Smart Watches, etc.)Easy to setup and configure - Even paired my iPazzPort Keyboard.(Now I can navigate with the touchpad, and type when I want.)Very clear and sharp. Very good motion even in action movies.Not bad at all for a 43" sub-$300.00 TV.If you haven't tried it yet - Go to the Play Store on your computer.Find an app you want (Streaming like HBOmax or Disney+, or Games.)From your computer, click "Install(ed) - Then you can choose the TCL TVIf it is gray, it shows that particular app will not install on the TV.If it is not gray, it will let you push it to the TV. Nothing is easier.Amazon saved me on this, I took the TV out of the box and it didn't work. TCL wasn't going to replace it, Amazon sent me a new one at no extra charge.
